Cristian David Rivillas Mejia

Cristian David Rivillas Mejia has a diverse work experience history. Cristian David began their career in 2012 at TOTTO as a Senior Logistics Analyst, where they implemented continuous improvement programs and led a team in implementing Lean Manufacturing practices. In 2016, they were promoted to Improvement Logistics Head, overseeing the coordination of a training program and achieving increased efficiency in logistic and textile production processes.

In 2019, Cristian joined Lean Startup Co. as a Lean Startup Ambassador, organizing meetups and facilitating the exchange of ideas within the Lean Startup community. Cristian David left this role in 2022.

In 2020, Cristian took on two roles simultaneously. First, at Mercado Libre, they served as a Logistics Senior Analyst, contributing to the improvement of their fulfillment operations. Cristian David then became the Continuous Improvement Execution Leader for Colombia, consolidating an operational excellence model and implementing various programs and initiatives. Cristian David left Mercado Libre in 2023.

Lastly, Cristian worked at Universidad Nacional de Colombia as a Researcher Assistant from 2020 until present. Cristian David focused on logistics, competitiveness, and country productivity, where they developed an Industry 4.0 model that gained national recognition in research.

In 2023, Cristian David Rivillas Mejia will be joining Sutex S.A.S as the CTO.

Cristian David Rivillas Mejia has a diverse education history. Cristian David obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia from 2020 to 2022. Cristian David also pursued certifications in Lean Six Sigma, including being a SCRUM Master from the Lean Six Sigma Institute in 2017, and earning a Black Belt certification from the Universidad Sergio Arboleda and LSSI. Additionally, they completed a Green Belt certification from LSSI in 2014-2015. Cristian David holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Politécnico Grancolombiano, completed in 2015. Furthermore, they obtained an Especialización Gerencia de Proyectos (Project Management Specialization) from PMI in 2012-2013. Cristian David also has a certification as a Formador de Formadores (Trainer of Trainers) from G Y T Consultores. In 2018, they obtained a Black Belt certification from lssinstitute.
