Barbara Leyman

Barbara Leyman currently serves as the Chief Business Development Officer at Sutro Biopharma, Inc., a position held since July 2024. Prior experience includes roles at GenEdit as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Vice President of Business Development, and at Lyell Immunopharma as Senior Director of Business Development. Additional positions include advisory roles at the California Life Sciences Association, Directorship at Calico Life Sciences, and board memberships with Apitope, Complix N.V., and Amakem NV. Barbara Leyman's earlier experience includes leading the Life Sciences Investment Fund at LRM and working as Manager of New Ventures at VIB. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biophysics from Imperial College at Wye, London University, as well as a Master's degree in Chemistry and Biotechnology from Ghent University.
