Maria Genevive Hernandez-Pantua

Maria Genevive Hernandez-Pantua is an experienced executive in the field of biomarker research and translational science, currently serving as Executive Director at Sutro Biopharma, Inc. since November 2023. Prior to this role, Maria held significant positions at IGM Biosciences, Inc. from August 2019 to November 2023, including Senior Director and Director of Clinical Biomarkers. Maria's earlier career at Genentech spanned over a decade, focusing on oncology biomarker development in roles such as Biomarker Lead and SSR. Maria began academic training at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, completing a PhD focusing on CD40's role in T cell responses, and previously worked as a Science Research Specialist at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, contributing to various immunology projects. Maria holds a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of the Philippines.
