Mark Muller

In his role, Muller serves as the principal consultant to the Sutter Health President & CEO and Executive Leadership Team, focusing on cultural transformation, vision and strategy, organizational alignment, operating rhythm, operational improvement, growth and communication.

Previously, Muller served as senior vice president of Strategy & Business Development for Ochsner Health, Louisiana’s largest health system. Prior to joining Ochsner, he served as Enterprise General Manager with GE Healthcare where he was responsible for helping the largest for-profit and not-for-profit health systems meet their clinical, operational, and financial goals.

He has served as a director on a number of Boards including the Jefferson Parish Chamber of Commerce, Louisiana Business Group on Health, Southern Strategic Sourcing Partners, Safe Source Direct, American Medical Manufacturers’ Association, Sutter Shared Lab, and SCAN-Sutter JV Health Plan. He also served on the Chief Strategy Officer Forum Steering Committee for the Health Management Academy and as Chief Strategy Officer Forum Chair & Program Chair for The Leadership Institute.

Muller earned his bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University. He is Kaplan-Norton Master Class certified in the Balanced Scorecard process and completed Harvard Business School’s Executive Education programs in Managing Healthcare Delivery and Strategy: Building and Sustaining Competitive Advantage. He is a graduate of the GE Financial Management Program and is Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
