Thaine Carter

Thaine Carter is an experienced professional in cybersecurity and information security management, currently serving as the Medical Device Integration and Security Manager at Sutter Health since July 2018. Thaine also holds a position as an Adjunct Professor in the Masters in Cybersecurity Program at the University of San Diego, teaching various subjects including SDLC and Network Security. Previous roles include Senior Information Security Consultant at CynergisTek, Inc., and Information Security Consultant IV at DXC Technology and HPE Security - Data Security. Additionally, Thaine has served as Information Security Officer at Corporate Tax Incentives, focusing on ISO 27001 compliance, and has a solid background in network and security management from earlier positions at Valtco, Squaretree, and various consulting engagements. Thaine holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology with a focus on Information Security & Assurance and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Security, both from Western Governors University.
