Amy Franks

Amy Franks has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Amy is currently working as the Area Director of Operations at Sutter Independent Physicians. Prior to this role, they worked at Sutter Health as the Director of Sutter Medical Network, where they oversaw the management of the state-wide utility project, Symphony. Amy also held the position of Project Manager, Clinical Integration, where they developed and implemented standards for physician contact emails and electronic health record adoption.

Before joining Sutter Health, Amy worked at the United States Air Force - David Grant Medical Center. Amy started as the Deputy CIO and later became the Chief Information Officer (CIO), managing a large IT team and optimizing daily operations at the medical center. Prior to this role, they served as the Group Practice Manager for Internal Medicine Subspecialties Clinics, providing business leadership and direction for a large medical facility.

Amy's work experience also includes roles at the United States Air Force - Sheppard Large Outpatient Clinic and the 332d Expeditionary Medical Group, Balad Hospital. Amy held positions such as Resource Management Flight Commander (CFO), Patient Administration Commander, and Group Practice Manager for Primary Care Clinics.

Throughout their career, Amy has demonstrated expertise in operations management, financial planning, strategic planning, and healthcare administration.

Amy Franks holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the United States Air Force Academy, which they obtained from 2000 to 2004. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Health Care Administration at the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2009 to 2011. Amy advanced their education further by completing a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus between 2012 and 2013.
