Bill Lear, MD

Dr. Bill Lear has extensive work experience in the medical field. In 2008, they joined Silver Falls Dermatology as the Director of Dermatological Surgery and later became the MSDO Fellowship Director. In 2015, Dr. Lear founded SUTUREGARD® Medical, Inc. where they currently serve as the Founder, President, and Chief Technology Officer. Bill Lear, MD has an extensive education history. Bill first completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at the University of Ottawa from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they pursued their medical education at the University of Toronto, where they obtained their MD degree from 1994 to 1998. Subsequently, they enrolled in McMaster University and received a CCFP (Certification in College of Family Physicians) in Family Medicine between 1998 and 2000. Seeking further specialization, Dr. Lear attended the University of Toronto once again, this time from 2004 to 2007, where they pursued their FRCPC (Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada) in Dermatology. Finally, they completed a Fellowship in Procedural Dermatology, specifically Mohs Surgery, at the University of Washington from 2007 to 2008.
