Sergio Ponce

Sergio Ponce is a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at the NYC Department of Environmental Protection since November 2014, where leadership of a team of five engineers led to the development of a web application that automated contractor service order payments, significantly reducing staff workload. Prior to this role, Sergio worked as a Full Stack Software Engineer, optimizing long-running processes, upgrading the agency's Customer Information System, and enhancing application security and error diagnosis. Sergio's earlier experience includes serving as a Project Manager at SVAM International de México, leading a project to successful delivery through agile methodologies and improved team collaboration, as well as working as a Web Developer to enhance documentation processes. Sergio holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from CINVESTAV and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the Technological Institute of Ciudad Victoria.
