Karin Varverud

Karin Varverud has extensive experience in the renewable fuels industry and agricultural sector. As the founder and co-owner of Energifabriken AB since 2006, Karin has contributed to the transition towards a sustainable and fossil-free society through specialized production and distribution of renewable fuels. At Energifabriken Norge AS, serving as CEO since 2015, Karin continues to drive this mission forward. Karin holds various leadership roles, including Chairperson of Hushållningssällskapet Östergötland and Vice Chairperson of both Hushållningssällskapet AgrIT and Hushållningssällskapet Invest. With a background as a board member of Svebio, Swedish Bioenergy Association, and past Chairperson of Cleantech Östergötland, Karin demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainable practices. Additionally, experience as a farmer at Smedberga Backgård since 2007 and a degree in Master of Science in Agriculture from SLU further solidifies Karin's expertise in the field.
