Joakim Gustafsson

Joakim Gustafsson has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Joakim is currently working at Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB, SKB, where they hold the position of Head of competence development and acting head of work environment and human performance/factors. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of competence and development at the same company.

Before joining SKB, Joakim worked at OKG AB for almost a decade. Joakim'sroles at OKG included Head of OHS, safety culture and organizational development, where they focused on enhancing safety measures and organizational development. Joakim also served as the Work environment and radiation protection manager for unit 1 and unit 2, overseeing decommissioning activities for two nuclear power plants. Joakim was also responsible for personstrålskydd och arbetsmiljö (personal radiation protection and work environment) related to the dismantling and demolition of O1 and O2.

Joakim also held the position of Gruppchef för GS12 (group manager GS12) and Strålskyddschef O1/O2 (radiation protection manager for O1/O2) during their time at OKG. Additionally, they worked as a Handledare tvärgruppsseminarium (supervisor for cross-group seminars), Teamledare Safety Team (team leader for the safety team), and Underhållsingenjör (maintenance engineer) at UM1 (Unit 1).

Prior to their time at OKG, Joakim worked at ABB as an Underhållsingenjör (maintenance engineer) and Maskinoperatör (machine operator) on the Pappersmaskinen (paper machine) at Figeholm. Joakim also served as the huvudskyddsombud (chief safety officer) for the last two years of their tenure at ABB.

Joakim Gustafsson's education history includes several different institutions and fields of study. In 1988-1989, they attended Salmon River Highschool, where they completed their high school education. Following that, from 1987 to 1990, they enrolled in Södertornsskolan Oskarshamn, where they pursued a technical line of study. Moving forward to 2007, they took the Högskoleprovet and achieved a score of 1.7 points, with an additional 2.2 points if considering the age supplement. In 2014-2015, Gustafsson received specialized training as a Station Technician at KSU, focusing on STT Drift O1 for nine months. Later, in 2016-2017, they attended Chefakademin for Eon's leadership training program called Ne.on. Finally, in 2017, Gustafsson participated in a short course at Uppsala University, completing an advanced radiation protection course known as Fördjupad strålskyddsutbildning, FS1, 6 hp.
