Christian Sonehag

Christian Sonehag is an experienced HV Cable Engineer currently working at Svenska kraftnät since May 2021, previously serving as an HVDC Cables and System Studies Consultant at AFRY from February 2020 to April 2021. Prior to that, Christian held the position of Lead Engineer at NKT Cables Group from December 2016 to February 2020, where responsibilities included preparation of technical proposals for HVDC cable projects. Christian's earlier experience at ABB (2012-2016) encompassed roles as R&D Project Manager, R&D Engineer, Electrical Engineering Physicist, and Master thesis worker, focusing on mass-impregnated cables, multi-physics simulations, electrical design, and insulation systems. Christian holds a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from Uppsala University and completed an Erasmus Exchange Year in Computational Sciences at EPFL.
