Additionally, they have worked as an informal investor at Releventure fund/Wemobile/Hopperpoint, and as an advisory of the board at Meatless BV.
In the past, Pieter served as the Managing Director and CEO at Unicorn Grain Specialties BV where they led the restructuring of the business model and organization. Before that, they worked at Meneba as the Deputy Sales Director and Commercial Manager Food, where they were responsible for commercial strategy and played a role in quality improvement and contract system implementation. Prior to Meneba, they held positions at Royal Cosun as the Commercial Manager Sensus and Sales Manager Sensus, overseeing European and South America commercial strategy.
Pieter also has experience as a Consultant at New Business Search & Development BV, where they focused on New Business Development for various companies including CSM, Stork, Friesland Coberco Dairy Foods, Avebe, Unilever, Cosun/SVZ, and ING.
Pieter Spanjers earned their MBA degree in Strategy, Marketing, and Technology from TSM Business School in 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a B.Sc in Agri business from HAS green academy between 1988 and 1993. Pieter also attended Middelbare school from 1988 to 1993, where they completed their HAVO degree.
