Desmond Smyth has a diverse work experience. Desmond started their career as a Technical Specialist at Xerox in 1978 and worked there until 1982. Desmond then joined the New York City Police Department as a Detective in 1986, where they served until 2006. In 2000, Smyth became the President of Securewatch 24 (SW24) and holds this position currently.
Desmond Smyth completed their education from 1972 to 1975 at Aviation High School, where they earned a Regents Diploma. Desmond specialized in Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Technology/Technician during their time there.
