Nigel Freeman

Nigel Freeman has extensive experience in the art industry, serving in various capacities at Swann Auction Galleries since November 1997, including Head of Fine Art, Director of Contemporary Art, Vice President, Director of African American Art, and Associate Director/Specialist in Works of Art on Paper. Nigel has also contributed as an Executive Board Member at ValleyArts, Inc. from October 2015 to December 2020 and served on the inaugural advisory board of the Hampton University museum from September 2012 to October 2015. Additionally, Nigel was an Adjunct Instructor at New York University from September 2003 to May 2014. Academically, Nigel obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Columbia University.
