Setthasorn Zhi Yang Ooi

Setthasorn Zhi Yang Ooi is a dedicated medical professional with extensive experience in surgical and medical education. Currently serving as Co-Lead and Data Co-Lead at STARSurg since August 2021, Setthasorn also contributes as a Foundation Doctor at Swansea Bay University Health Board, with rotations in hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, psychiatry, endocrinology, emergency medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, and plastic surgery. As an elected member of the Association of Surgeons in Training, Setthasorn holds multiple roles, including Social Media Officer and Medical Student Representative. Additionally, Setthasorn is President of the Wales Foundation Trainee Surgical Society and actively participates in several committees within the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Neurology and Neurosurgery Interest Group. Setthasorn's diverse educational background includes a medical degree from Cardiff University and ongoing postgraduate studies at The University of Edinburgh, supplemented by elective experiences in top-ranked institutions in plastic surgery and neurosurgery.
