Alex Harwood is a versatile arts educator and visual/digital artist with extensive experience in teaching and facilitating creative projects. Currently a sessional tutor at Swarthmore Education Centre, Alex designs and delivers courses in visual and digital arts. Since 2007, Alex has been self-employed, leading various projects, including a visual diary initiative in a mental health ward funded by CLAHRC South London. Additional roles include digital media workshop leader at Holborn Community Association, tutor for filmmaking programs with First Take, and arts practitioner with Creative Futures (UK). Alex also contributes as a workshop assistant at Sparks Film and Media Arts Ltd and a youth arts worker with Surrey Clubs For Young People, among other community-based initiatives. Alex holds an MA in Participatory and Community Arts from Goldsmiths, University of London, a BA (Hons) in Visual Arts from the University of Salford, and a BA (Hons) in Computer Arts from Abertay University.
