Terése Whitehead has led a diversified career in sports and entertainment with more than 20 years of experience in marketing strategy, branding, athlete relations and representation. After earning her degree from the University of Michigan, Terése joined Chicago-based HA-LO Sports and Entertainment as an Account Executive where she implemented strategic sponsorship campaigns and promotions for a Fortune 500 company. She relocated to Atlanta in December 2001 and began her tenure as an Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Thrashers team marketing executive, where she was an integral part of each team's marketing, advertising, community investment, and branding campaigns. After five years in this role, Terése joined Williams & Connolly in Washington D.C as Sports Marketing Specialist, spearheading marketing, philanthropic and branding initiatives for high-profile professional athletes including Grant Hill, Tim Duncan, Ray Allen and Tamika Catchings. She was promoted to Senior Manager of Sports Marketing in 2008. In 2013, Terése departed Williams & Connolly to support the launch of Tandem Sports + Entertainment, a full-service sports and entertainment agency with expertise in athlete management, talent representation, marketing, communications and publicity services. As Senior Vice President of Marketing + Brand Development, Terése led the strategic vision and managed off-field/off court marketing of over 75 NBA, WNBA and MLB players and entertainment clients including sourcing, negotiating and maintaining client endorsement, appearance and rights portfolios. She played an integral role in business development, helping the agency double its client roster in its first year. A native of Denver, CO, Terése has guest lectured on sports marketing at Georgetown University, George Washington University and American University. She served as the Executive Board President of Suited for Change for 6 years and is a founding member of CHIEF DC Chapter.
