Michael Picard

Michael Picard, CDA, CEBS has extensive experience in financial management and strategic advisory roles. Michael currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Associate at SWBR, where they manage all financial operations and provides strategic financial input for the organization. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer at The Costello Group, Leo J. Roth Corporation, Anthony J. Costello & Son Development / USAirports, and New England Air Systems, LLC, where they were responsible for overseeing financial operations and playing an active role in strategic initiatives. Michael also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Control Technologies, Inc, where they managed financial operations, human resources, IT, and marketing. Earlier in their career, they served as Vice President and Manager at Chittenden Bank and AVP and Manager-Institutional Client Services at Shawmut Corporation.

Michael Picard, CDA, CEBS holds various degrees and certifications in finance, management, accounting, and employee benefit planning. Michael obtained their M.S. in Finance & Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1993. Prior to that, they earned a B.S. in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University in 1989 and an A.S. in Accounting from Manchester Community College in 1982. In addition to their academic achievements, Michael has obtained several certifications including Certified Design Accountant (CDA) from the Certified Design Accountants Association (CDAA) in 2019, and various certifications related to employee benefit planning from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) and the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists.
