Ada Fox

Assistant Project Restoration Ecologist at SWCA

Ada Fox has a diverse work experience in the field of environmental science and conservation. Ada started their career as a Division of Biological Sciences Research Intern at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2008. Ada then worked as a Fuel Assistance Program Assistant at South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC) from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, they became a Trail Maintenance Corps Member at the Student Conservation Association.

From 2013 to 2013, Ada worked as a CWPP Corps Member at the North Carolina Forest Service through the Student Conservation Association. Ada then joined the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation/SCA as a GPS/GIS Technician in 2014. In this role, they collected GPS data of park features and created trail maps using ArcGIS.

In 2015, Ada became a Plant Health Care Applicator at the Bransfield Company, where they worked until 2020. Ada then worked as a Biological Science Technician at the National Park Service from 2020 to 2021. In 2022, they joined SWCA Environmental Consultants as an Ecological Restoration Technician for a short period before transitioning to the National Park Service again as a Biological Science Technician.

Currently, Ada is working as an Assistant Project Restoration Ecologist at SWCA Environmental Consultants starting in 2023.

Ada Fox earned a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science & Policy from Marist College, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications as a Chainsaw Sawyer from the National Park Service in August 2021 and as a Pesticide Applicator from the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources in April 2015.
