Aidan Smith has a diverse work experience spanning different industries.

Starting in 2007, Aidan worked as a Seasonal Assistant Manager at Portland Parks & Recreation, managing a large staff, coordinating swim lessons, and handling administrative tasks. During this time, Aidan also gained experience in sales reporting and banking.

In 2011, Aidan worked as a Counter Server at Laughing Planet Cafe, providing excellent customer service, handling multiple POS systems, and enhancing multitasking skills.

From 2014 to 2019, Aidan served as the Front Of House Manager at Laurelwood Public House and Brewery, where they managed and trained a large staff, conducted safety meetings, and gained expertise in restaurant management, food handling, and craft beer production.

In 2019, Aidan took on the role of GIS Analyst at PORTLAND CLEAN AIR, collecting and analyzing data using ArcMap 10.7 and SQL queries to produce maps of airborne particulate matter levels.

In 2020, Aidan joined Quantum Spatial as a Geocontractor, working on a vegetation risk management project that involved LiDAR classification, orthorectification, and CAD modeling. Aidan's team achieved high productivity and exceeded delivery date expectations.

Currently, Aidan is working as an Associate Project Geospatial Scientist at SWCA Environmental Consultants, specializing in wetland mapping, data management, editing, and spatial analysis.

In 2012, Aidan also gained political experience as a Finance Intern for the Jefferson Smith Mayoral Campaign, managing contributions, organizing fundraisers, and engaging with supporters through social media and phone banking.

Throughout their work experience, Aidan has demonstrated a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt and thrive in various roles and industries.

Aidan Smith has a diverse education history. Aidan began their academic journey at Grant High School, where they completed their high school education from 2006 to 2010. After graduating, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Geography at the University of Oregon from 2010 to 2013. Following this, they attended Portland Community College from 2018 to 2019, earning a Certificate in Geographic Information Science and Cartography. Advancing further, Aidan enrolled at Portland State University in 2023 and obtained a Professional Certificate in Wetland Delineation, which they completed in 2033. Additionally, Aidan obtained a CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the American Red Cross in July 2023. Overall, Aidan's education history demonstrates their commitment to expanding their knowledge and skills in various fields.
