Allen Stutz

Geospatial Sciences Team Lead at SWCA

Allen Stutz began their career in 1995 as an Engineering Associate at Hydrometrics, Inc. where they collected and recorded data for CERCLA soil remediation projects. Allen also acquired permits and managed installations. In 2002, they worked as an Apprentice at the University of Washington, Friday Harbor Laboratories, assisting with the development of a management plan for the Biological Preserve. Allen later joined the USDA Forest Service as a Biological Science Technician in 2003, where they served as lead surveyor for California spotted owls and designed an MP3 owl-call broadcaster. Allen also surveyed for American martens and monitored sound levels. Since 2007, Allen has been the Geospatial Sciences Team Lead at SWCA Environmental Consultants, managing schedules, workflow, and mentoring staff.

Allen Stutz earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Chemistry from North Seattle College, which they attended from 1996 to 2000. Allen then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in both Ecology, Evolution & Conservation, and Zoology at the University of Washington from 2000 to 2002. Following that, they obtained a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the University of Denver from 2006 to 2007.
