Allison McKenzie has a diverse work experience in the field of environmental biology and research. Currently, they work as a Project Biologist at SWCA Environmental Consultants. Previously, they served as a Senior Staff Scientist/Environmental Consultant at Cardno, where they provided support to clients in various industries, such as renewable energy and oil and gas, by conducting environmental impact assessments and providing permitting support.

Prior to that, Allison worked at The Academy of Natural Sciences as a Fisheries Biologist for six years. In this role, they conducted research and managed projects related to watershed restoration, monitoring, and conservation, utilizing fish as biological indicators. Allison'sresponsibilities included conducting impact assessments, organizing conferences and meetings, conducting outreach activities, analyzing data, and writing environmental reports.

Before joining The Academy of Natural Sciences, Allison worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Mississippi State University, where they contributed to research projects. Allison also gained experience as a Relief Supervisor/Bird Care Intern at Tristate Bird Rescue and Research, as well as a Laboratory Research Technician at DuPont Pioneer.

Allison's earlier experience includes working as a Biological Research Aid at USDA-ARS, where they focused on bio-control research for non-native species. Overall, their work experience demonstrates their expertise in environmental biology, project management, research, and client support in various industries.

Allison McKenzie completed their education in a sequential manner. Allison obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware between 2005 and 2009. Following that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Forestry at Mississippi State University from 2012 to 2014. In 2016 and 2017, Allison attended the Institute of Fisheries Management in the UK, where they received a Certificate in Fisheries Management. Additionally, Allison earned their high school diploma from The Solebury School from 2001 to 2005.

In terms of additional certifications, Allison obtained a First Aid and CPR Certification from the American Red Cross in April 2018. Allison also earned an IACUC Safe Vertebrate Handling/Research certification from Drexel University during the same period. Furthermore, Allison holds a Pennsylvania Boating Safety Education Certificate from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, acquired in April 2018.
