Heather Gibson

Heather Gibson is an accomplished professional in the field of archaeology and cultural resources management, currently serving as Vice President for Southern California and the Pacific Islands at SWCA Environmental Consultants since 2014. Prior to this role, Heather held significant positions including Senior Director and Director of Cultural and Paleontological Resources at SWCA, as well as Archaeologist and Senior Associate at AECOM. Academic experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and completing a post-doctoral fellowship in History at McGill University. Heather earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Anthropology from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and French from the University of Notre Dame.
