Irvin Solano

Irvin Solano is a first-generation senior at the University of Houston-Downtown, majoring in Biological and Physical Sciences with a minor in Sustainability. Irvin is an inaugural scholar of the HSI Scholars program with the American Heart Association and has participated in various programs, including the SUSTAIN Scholars Program. With a publication in the NCBI Database focused on bioinformatics, Irvin also engages in social media as part of the Social Gators initiative. In addition to academics, Irvin mentors students in multiple programs and founded the Gator Groove organization, promoting musical collaboration among peers. Currently, Irvin serves as a Staff Biologist at SWCA Environmental Consultants.
