John Lowe

John Lowe is an experienced professional with a strong background in archaeology and cultural resource management. Currently serving as a Principal Investigator at SWCA Environmental Consultants since April 2020, John previously held the position of Archeologist/Cultural Resource Specialist at Texas Parks and Wildlife Department from April 2013 to April 2020, where responsibilities included coordinating cultural resources compliance for various projects. Early in his career, John worked with SWCA Environmental Consultants as an Archeologist III and Staff Archaeologist/Crew Chief, leading field investigations and managing small teams. Additionally, John's background includes significant contributions as an Archaeological Field Technician and graphic design experience with The Daily Texan. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies with a focus on Archaeology from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies from Juniata College.
