Ken Lawrence

Ken Lawrence is a seasoned geoarchaeologist and project manager currently serving as a Principal Investigator for the Cultural Resources Division at SWCA Environmental Consultants in Austin since April 2000. Specializing in prehistoric archaeology, geoarchaeology, and Section 106 compliance, Ken has extensive experience in the field. Prior to his current role, Ken worked as a Staff Archaeologist at PIII in Salt Lake City from April 1993 to March 2000, conducting archaeological surveys and excavations throughout the Great Basin and performing lithic analysis. Earlier career experiences include positions at Centennial Archaeology, Inc., and the South Dakota Department of Transportation, where Ken focused on data recovery excavations at various prehistoric sites. Ken holds a Master's degree in Anthropology from Texas State University and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from The University of Kansas.
