Ken Nagel

Ken Nagel is a Land Development Specialist in Renewables at SWCA Environmental Consultants since September 2020, overseeing land acquisition for over 12 renewable energy projects annually, negotiating agreements for solar and battery storage facilities. Prior to this role, Ken served as an instructor at the WCPSS Academy of Information Technology for 16 years, teaching honors and Advanced Placement courses in Environmental Science and Marine Ecology, while developing STEM instructional materials. Previous experience includes positions as Air Quality Software BD Manager at Trinity Consulting, Atmospheric Modelling Software Sales Engineer at WSI, and Chief Meteorologist at WOFL-TV. Ken holds a Graduate Certificate from the NC State Center for Geospatial Analytics, is pursuing a Master's degree in Geospatial Information Science and Technology at NC State University, and earned an MS in Geoscience from Mississippi State University and a BA in Communications from Franciscan University of Steubenville.
