Kimberly Lyons has a diverse work experience in various roles. Kimberly is currently working as a Project Geospatial Scientist at SWCA Environmental Consultants, where they specialize in providing mapping and geospatial analytics products for large-scale power transmission and generation projects. Their responsibilities also include cultural resource reporting, climate change exposure/asset evaluation, wildfire risk modeling, and GIS project management.

Prior to their current role, Kimberly worked at the City of Flagstaff as a GIS Analyst and GIS Technician. Kimberly was responsible for analyzing and managing geographic data for the city. Kimberly also worked at Pink® Jeep® Tours as a Customer Service Representative and Tour Guide.

Kimberly gained experience as a Graduate Assistant at the University of South Florida, where they supported research and academic activities. Kimberly also worked as a Research Assistant for the University of South Florida and the Seminole Tribe of Florida.

In addition, Kimberly has held positions as a GIS Technician at IAP Worldwide Services, a Tutor at Club Z! In-Home Tutoring Services, a Water Quality Technician at the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, a Data Analysis Intern at Maiden Insurance Outfitters, and a Caller Representative at Shepherd University.

Kimberly Lyons completed their education at the University of South Florida, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science and Policy from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended Shepherd University from 2007 to 2012 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies with a Concentration in Aquatic Sciences. In addition to their degrees, Kimberly also holds an Open Water Level 1 certification from NAUI Worldwide, which they obtained in August 2012.
