Senior NEPA Project Manager at SWCA

Leyla Arsan has a diverse work experience in the field of environmental consulting and aquatic science. Leyla currently works as a Senior NEPA Project Manager at SWCA Environmental Consultants since May 2021. Prior to that, Leyla served as the Principal Aquatic Scientist at Birch Leaf Consulting starting from September 2015. At DOWL, where they worked from November 2015 to April 2021, they held the position of Senior Biologist, managing NEPA projects and EISs, providing guidance to clients, and expanding market services. Leyla also has a significant history with SWCA Environmental Consultants, where they held multiple roles from December 2012 to August 2015, including Office Director and Aquatic Scientist, as well as Pacific Northwest Aquatic Science Lead. Leyla began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Fish Disease Research, Oregon State University, conducting research related to fisheries and aquatic habitat management.

Leyla Arsan pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Environmental Studies from Prescott College. Leyla attended Prescott College from 1995 to 1999. Following this, Leyla furthered their studies at Oregon State University, where they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Fisheries and Aquatic Science from 2004 to 2006.
