Joan Pujol has worked in a variety of roles in the medical device industry since 2002. Joan began their career as a Key Account Manager and Project Leader & Software Developer at UV-Vis Metrolab S.A. where they were responsible for developing software for Clinical Chemistry instruments and closely cooperating with mechanical and electronic designers to define instrument modules and their requirements. In 2012, they moved to Diatron Group as R&D Director. Clinical Chemistry, managing the R&D office at Buenos Aires, Argentina and leading the design of new analyzers and the maintenance of existing ones in accordance with EU 98/79/EC, EU ISO 13485:2016, and US 21CFR820 Quality Systems for Medical Devices. In 2020, they became an Independent Consultant – Medical Devices, providing Clinical Chemistry Systems Design and Development, Software Design and Development, and Regulatory/Quality System Development. Most recently, they joined SweatWorks in 2021 as a Technical Project Manager.
Joan Pujol has an education history that includes a Computer Science degree from the University of Buenos Aires, obtained between 1998 and 2002, and an Electronics Technician degree from the Instituto Industrial Luis A. Huergo, obtained between 1991 and 1996. Additionally, Pujol has obtained four certifications: Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org (2021), International Project Management and Best Practices for Project Management Success from Rochester Institute of Technology (2019), and Project Management Life Cycle from Rochester Institute of Technology (2019).
