Jan Bouwman

Jan Bouwman has extensive experience in project and process management focused on regional planning and area development. Currently serving as Process and Environmental Manager for the National Area and Area Development at Sweco Nederland since April 2016, Jan has also worked as a Process Manager for the Eastern Vechtplassen Approach at the Province of Noord-Holland between March 2018 and October 2023. In this role, Jan provided project and process guidance for nature-oriented developments in three areas around Loosdrecht and facilitated collaboration among various governmental bodies and organizations. Prior to this, Jan held positions at Grontmij from 1988 to 2016, progressing from Advisor/Project Leader for Spatial Development to Project and Process Manager for Regional Planning and Area Development. Jan’s career began at RBOI as an Advisor for Tourism and Recreation. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Economics from NHTV Internationale Hogeschool Breda and VWO from SG "Laar en Berg" Laren N-H.
