Monica Welander

Monica Welander is an experienced professional in strategic communications and sustainability, currently serving as the Group Head of Strategic Communications at Sweco since September 2021, where responsibilities include leading communication strategies aligned with the Group's business objectives. Prior to Sweco, Monica held the position of Group Head of Sustainability Communications, focusing on ESG-related initiatives. Previous roles include Head of Communications and Sustainability at Peas Industries, Head of Corporate Communications at OX2, and Communications Manager at Nordic Green Energy Sverige. Monica's earlier experience includes positions as a PR Officer for the British Council and IDEE Communication, along with a role as Customer Relations Manager at RCS&RDS and market researcher at Suzuki. Monica holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Public Relations from the University of Bucharest and an MA in Media and Communication from Stockholm University.
