Phebe van de Heyning

Phebe Van de Heyning currently serves as the Team Manager for Civil Engineering and Water Engineering at Sweco since April 2023, and is also a Senior Project Leader. Prior to this role, Phebe worked at SBE from October 2017 to March 2023 as a Technical Lead and Project Engineer, where responsibilities included technical management of geotechnical and hydraulic engineering projects, as well as supervising a team of engineers. Earlier experience includes serving as a Project Engineer and Technical Lead focused on waterways and geotechnics, with expertise in project calculations, hydraulic and nautical assessments, and site supervision. Phebe's career began with volunteering in Peru, designing and constructing a micro-hydro installation as a Project Engineer at Humasol. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, focusing on Construction and Civil Engineering from KU Leuven, and additional studies at the Universitat Politècnica de València.
