Max Joy

Max Joy is the current President at SWECO UK LIMITED. Prior to this, they served as the assistant head capability development equipment support from May 2013 to March 2016. From September 2012 to May 2013, they served as so1 plans for the army hq director capability. Max also served as military assistant for the uk ministry of defence from September 2010 to August 2012. In addition, they were the chief instructor at school of equipment support from August 2007 to August 2008 and chief of staff at army presentation group from August 2006 to August 2007. Max Joy's longest and most recent position was with the Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers - REME from January 1988 to March 2016 where they were commissioned into the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME). During their time with REME, they served on military operations globally as well as undertaking Equipment Capability, Transformation Management and Programme Management in the MOD Main Building and Army Headquarters. Max was appointed OBE and is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE).

Max Joy's educational career includes completing command and leadership training at the Joint Services Command and Staff College (JSCSC), a Master of Science (MSc) in Defence Technology from the Defence Academy, and a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Military College of Science (RMCS). Additionally, Max Joy completed Standard Military Course 881 at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS).
