Birgit Lahtein

Birgit Lahtein has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Birgit is currently the Head of Data Warehouse Engineering Guild (Acting) at Swedbank Estonia since September 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Data Warehouse Engineering Team Manager at the same company starting from February 2021. Birgit also has experience as an Area Manager for Business Development from September 2020 to February 2021 and as a Project Manager for Business Development from February 2019 to September 2020.

Before joining Swedbank Estonia, Birgit worked at Playtech from 2011 to 2019. During their time at Playtech, they held the role of Project Manager, where they managed multiple projects concurrently and collaborated with external companies around the globe. Birgit also had a brief role as an Operations Analyst.

Additionally, Birgit served as an Office Manager at Videobet from August 2009 to November 2011, and as an Assistant at Baltic Auction from September 2007 to July 2009.

Birgit Lahtein holds a Master's degree in IT Management from Tallinn University, which they obtained from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, General at the same university from 2005 to 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Birgit has also acquired several certifications. Birgit obtained a certification in Leading Other from the Leadership Pipeline Institute in November 2021. Furthermore, they have certifications in Managing Teams and Strategic Partnerships: Ecosystems and Platforms, which they obtained from LinkedIn in August 2020 and July 2020, respectively.
