Saila Passinhas

Saila Passinhas is a seasoned professional in risk management and compliance, currently serving as the Head of 1st Line Subject Matter Experts and Head of Risk Management in Anti-Financial Crime at Swedbank since March 2024. Prior to this, Saila held several significant positions at Nasdaq, including AVP of Risk Strategy and Ethics, and was responsible for the design and implementation of various 2nd line risk initiatives. Saila's previous experience includes roles at Deutsche Bank as Vice President of Group Operational Risk Management for the UK, Lead Operational & Enterprise Risk Manager at SEFE Marketing & Trading Ltd, and Vice President of Global Operational Risk at Morgan Stanley. Early career contributions involved risk consulting at Deloitte and risk officer responsibilities at Bank of America. Saila holds a Masters in Biochemical Engineering with an emphasis in Bioprocess Management from UCL.
