Ilona Benko

Ilona B. is a Research Engineer at the Swedish Institute of Space Physics since March 2022, specializing in the Radio and Plasma Waves Investigation (RPWI) instrument for the JUICE and SolO missions. Ilona contributed to the RPWI JUICE Near Earth Commissioning team at ESA's Mission Operations Centre in April and May 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Scientific Programmer at Hvar Observatory, where a non-linear best fitting method for Forbush decrease analysis was developed, and as a Full Stack Developer at IntelliFinder A/S, focusing on GIS and telecom software. Additionally, experience as a Data Scientist at Esoft involved developing and optimizing Enhanced Super-Resolution Generative Adversarial Networks. Earlier academic roles include serving as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Southern Denmark. Ilona holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Syddansk Universitet and a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from the University of Zagreb.
