Filip Wahlström has a diverse range of work experience. Filip began their career in 2007 as a Tennis Coach at Höllvikens tennisklubb and later worked as a Bank Advisor at Nordea from 2011 to 2014. In 2013, they co-founded This must be the place HB and served as the Co-Founder until 2015. In 2014, they also worked as an Intern at the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in San Diego, where they were responsible for hosting events and promoting trade between Swedish and American companies.

From 2014 to 2020, Filip worked at Swedish Match, starting as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator and progressing to various roles such as Trade Marketing Manager, Brand Manager, and Business Development Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Marketing at Swedish Match.

Filip Wahlström completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Lund University in the years 2010 to 2015. In 2012 to 2013, they attended ESSEC Business School for economics studies. In 2021 to 2023, Filip pursued an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from Stockholm School of Economics. In 2022, they participated in a program at ESMT Berlin focused on Företagsekonomi (Business Administration). Furthermore, in 2022 they also attended the National University of Singapore for a program on Doing Business in Asia. Filip Wahlström briefly studied Data driven analytics at Stanford University in 2023.
