Thomas Hayes

Tom Hayes is the current Senior Vice President and CFO at Swedish Match. Prior to this, they served as the CFO for the North American Division of Swedish Match from 2006 to 2018. In this role, they were responsible for financial accounting and reporting, FP&A, taxes, EPM/ERM, and procurement. Tom also chaired the Employee Benefits and Pension Committees, as well as the Swedish Match Group IT (Governance) Board. Prior to their time at Swedish Match, Tom served as the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at Chesapeake Corp from 2005 to 2006. In this role, they were responsible for financial reporting, FP&A, and taxes. Tom started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1988, where they eventually became Managing Director in 2005.

Tom Hayes has a BS in Accounting and Business from Wake Forest University. Tom also has a certification from the AICPA in CPA.

Tom Hayes reports to Lars Dahlgren, President & CEO. They work with Fredrik Peyron - Senior Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Group Communications, Håkan Söderberg - President, Lights Division, and Rich Flaherty - President, US Division.
