Gunnar Nykvist

Gunnar Nykvist has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Gunnar began their career at AstraZeneca in 2006, where they held various roles such as Quality Assurance Officer, Process Engineer, First Line Manager, Global Supplier Manager, and finally Supply Chain Lead. In these positions, they were responsible for overseeing the supply of outsourced products, leading cross-functional teams, implementing product strategies, managing risks, and resolving supply issues.

In 2020, Gunnar joined Sobi - Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (publ) as the External Manufacturing Director. In this role, they led the global cross-functional product team, managed manufacturing and supply, and was accountable for business integration activities, new market launches, and cost improvements. Gunnar later transitioned to the role of Director, TechOps Product Lead, where they were responsible for all aspects of product manufacturing and supply, including establishing the overall product strategy and leading resolution for major supply issues. Currently, they serve as the Senior Director, Business Development & Strategy Execution, Technical Operations, continuing to contribute to the company's growth and success.

Gunnar Nykvist attended KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2001 to 2006, where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Chemical Engineering. In 2006, they also briefly studied Business Administration and Management at Stockholm University. Additionally, they studied Chemical Engineering at The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg in 2005 and at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier from 2003 to 2004. In 2014, they obtained a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification from APICS.
