Juan-Ramón Sánchez-Valdivia

Juan-Ramón Sánchez-Valdivia has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Juan-Ramón is currently the Head of External Drug Substance & Drug Product Manufacturing & CMO Manager at Sobi - Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (publ), a position they started in August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at AstraZeneca from 2013 to 2021, holding various roles such as Supply Chain Lead, Supply Chain Manager, Logistics & Supply Chain Planner, and Supply Chain Coordinator - Global External Sourcing.

Before joining AstraZeneca, Juan-Ramón had a brief stint as a Demand Analyst at Hewlett-Packard in 2013. Juan-Ramón also worked as a Customer Service and Sales Coordinator at Encuentro por México and as a Finance Coordinator at FEITESM.

In 2012, Juan-Ramón held two consultant positions. Juan-Ramón worked as a Consultant and ISO Recertification Process Assistant at the Mexican Chamber of Construction Industry (CMIC), Jalisco Delegation, and as a Consultant and Statistical Analyst at Cinepolis Corporativo.

Throughout their various roles, Juan-Ramón has demonstrated strong leadership, organizational skills, communication abilities, and problem-solving capabilities.

Juan-Ramón Sánchez-Valdivia obtained an Engineer's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they studied from 2008 to 2013. Juan-Ramón also earned certifications in Supply Chain Management from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in 2013, and as a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS in 2019.
