Steve Randel

Steve Randel has extensive experience in security and law enforcement, with a career spanning several decades. Currently serving at UW Health SwedishAmerican since August 2009, Randel holds multiple roles including Field Training Officer, Lead Investigator, and Senior Security Officer, focusing on health system security. Previous roles include Operations Supervisor at The Data Center, specializing in disaster recovery and consulting, and Disaster Recovery Specialist at OffSite Services. Randel’s early career included positions as a Security Officer at Swedish American Hospital and as a Police Officer with Rockford Park District Police and Rockford Metrocentre Police, where Steve eventually became Chief of Police. With foundational experience as an Assistant Security Director at Cherryvale Mall and a Cash Room Teller at City National Bank, Randel has a well-rounded background in security management and law enforcement. Randel studied Criminal Justice/Police Science at Rock Valley College from 1982 to 1984.
