Sam North

Sam North has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 1997 as an Electrician on the USS Buffalo, they then joined the US Navy in 1995, serving as an Officer and Enlisted Service Member until 2008. During their time in the Navy, they also took on the role of Executive Officer from 2006 to 2008. After leaving the Navy, they worked as a Director of Operations & Training at the Navy Reserve Readiness Command Northwest from 2005 to 2006. In 2001, they served as the Navigator/Legal Officer on the USS Antietam, focusing on operations management and risk management. Sam then transitioned to the private sector, working at Sweeney Conrad, P.S. as a Senior Tax Accountant from 2008 to 2010, and later as the Managing Principal from 2012. In between, they were a Senior Associate, Federal Tax at KPMG from 2010 to 2012. Throughout their career, Sam has gained extensive experience in tax compliance, consulting, accounting, research, and planning for various business entities in industries such as manufacturing, real estate, software, telecommunications, and tax-exempt organizations.

Sam North has a solid education history. In 1999, they started their undergraduate studies at the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business, specializing in Finance. Sam completed their Bachelor's degree in 2001. Subsequently, from 2005 to 2008, they attended Seattle University, where they pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sam has also obtained two certifications. In April 2010, they became a Certified Public Accountant through the Washington State Board of Accountancy. Later, in July 2016, they obtained an Advanced Professional Certificate in Corporate International Taxation from the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation.
