Sam Bowden has worked in a variety of roles in the sales and marketing industry since 2006. In 2006, they worked as a Sales Negotiator for Dickinson Bowden Ltd, where they accompanied potential purchasers on viewings, negotiated with vendors and purchasers to encourage property sales, and maintained close relationships with solicitors and other prospective clients. In 2009, they worked as an English Language Assistant for the British Council, where they were in charge of the tuition of French students, designed and delivered lessons to improve oral and aural efficiency, and assisted colleagues with lesson planning and other extra-curricular activities. In 2012, they worked as a Marketing Intern for Bancroft Wines, where they identified potential on trade clients for the company's marketing campaigns, redesigned and updated the company's trade wine list and marketing brochures, and analysed website performance. Sam also worked as a Sr. Account Executive & Team Lead and an Account Executive for BIME (We Are Cloud) from 2012 to 2015, where they lead a team of sales reps covering EMEA and APAC, was in charge of BIME's partner channel & technology relationship with 3rd parties, and presented at numerous events & trade-shows including Google partner summit, Google Atmosphere & Gartner BI & Analytics Summit. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at Zendesk as a Success Specialist, Analytics and an Account Executive, where they had experience across the entire sales process from outbound prospection, pre-sales support, closing and post-sales success for the analytics business, was a product expert, and worked on cross-sell initiatives into the wider client base across EMEA & APAC territory. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Strategic Account Executive for Sweep, where they are responsible for everything needed to run the best climate programme.
Sam Bowden studied at the University of Leeds from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a BA Hons in English and French. Prior to that, they attended Taunton School from 2001 to 2006. In addition, they have obtained a Social Selling Certification from UPTOO in June 2020, and an Introduction to SQL from Wise Owl Training in March 2018.
