Allen Corpening

Allen Corpening is an experienced investment professional currently underwriting investments in small cap technology companies at Sweetwater Private Equity since 2024. Prior to this role, Allen worked at UTIMCO, the nation's largest public endowment, focusing on co-investments and fund allocations in private equity and venture capital from 2022 to 2023. Allen's previous experience includes positions at Pacific Western Bank as a Venture Banking Senior Analyst, where responsibilities included managing lines of credit with venture capital and growth equity funds, and a summer analyst role at Franklin Street Partners, where Allen engaged in sourcing investment opportunities and developing analytical tools within alternative investments. Additional internships include work at Verger Capital Management, Vector Marketing, the District Attorney's Office of Forsyth County, and Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown Inc. Allen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a minor in Entrepreneurship Studies.
