Christian Lim

Christian Lim is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in impact strategy and private sector development. Currently serving as Managing Director at SWEN Capital Partners, Christian co-manages the SWEN Blue Ocean initiative, focusing on innovations that promote ocean health and contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 14. As a former founding Co-Chair and current Steering Committee Member of 1000 Ocean Startups, Christian plays a critical role in driving ocean impact innovation globally. Prior to these roles, Christian co-founded Blue Oceans Partners, where efforts centered on addressing sustainable fishing and plastic pollution. Experience also includes a tenure as Investment Director at AfricInvest Group, advising on investments across multiple sectors in over ten countries, and significant contributions to the African Development Bank as a Senior Private Sector Development Specialist. Christian holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MSc in Engineering from Mines Paris - PSL.
