Mohammad Absi-Halabi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2000, they started their career as a Technical Service Engineer at CYRO Industries, where they focused on on-site troubleshooting, product development, and efficiency improvement until 2003.
mohammad then worked as an Independent Consultant from 2004 to 2005, taking on various consulting projects. In 2002, they co-founded FUSIONpresents, serving as the President until 2005.
From 2005 to 2008, they worked as an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton.
In 2008, they joined The General Secretariat Of The Executive Council - Government of Dubai, initially as the Head of Strategy, where they were responsible for developing strategic direction and coordinating planning in key sectors. Later, they served as a Strategic Development Advisor and then as a Senior Strategy Advisor, heading public sector reform initiatives.
In 2018, they became self-employed, working as an Independent Advisor & Mentor. mohammad engaged in strategy and data science advisory projects and mentored startups on various aspects such as go-to-market strategy, product development, scaling, and working with regulators, with a particular focus on mobility plays, platforms, fashion, and fitness tech.
Continuing their entrepreneurial journey, in 2019 they founded Carlee and then in 2020, they founded swftbox, where they hold the role of Founder & CEO for both companies.
Mohammad Absi-Halabi holds an MBA in Finance & Strategy from Indiana University Bloomington, earned from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Petroleum & Plastics Engineering from McGill University/Institut Francais du Petrole, from 1999 to 2000. mohammad'sundergraduate education includes a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University, in which they enrolled from 1994 to 1998. In addition to these academic qualifications, Absi-Halabi has obtained several certifications. mohammad became a Data Scientist after completing a program at The Coleridge Initiative in December 2017. Furthermore, in September 2017, they became an Expert in Public Policy through a program offered jointly by the London School of Economics and The Dubai Executive Council. Lastly, Absi-Halabi became a Design Thinking Certified Trainer in March 2015, having completed the certification program at ExperiencePoint.
