Jakob Almqvist

Jakob Almqvist is an experienced algorithms engineer currently serving as a Staff Algorithms Engineer at Swift Navigation since March 2022. Prior to this role, Jakob held positions as a Senior Software Engineer at Leica Geosystems AB and a Senior GNSS Positioning Engineer at Waysure, where significant contributions included leading the design and implementation of GNSS algorithms and sensor fusion for navigation systems. Earlier experience includes development of OSE drivers for Ericsson's radio base stations and software engineering roles at various companies, focusing on control systems, RSA verification algorithms, and navigation software. Jakob began their career at the Swedish Space Corporation as a Satellite Operator and holds a Master’s degree in Space Engineering from Luleå University of Technology.
