Tobi Abzieher

Tobi joined the Swift Solar team in February 2023 as an R&D Engineer. He has 10+ years of experience in photovoltaic materials research and worked on PV technologies including kesterites, CIGS, and perovskites at the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Wuertttemberg (ZSW), the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Tobi received his PhD for his work on vapor-processed perovskite semiconductors from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in 2019. His research interests focus on the upscaling of PV technologies and the development of efficient tandem solar cells. In his free time, Tobi likes to cook, go on hikes, do photography, and enjoy a good football game (Go Broncos...no jokes about "good" football please).
