Barrett Chong has a diverse work experience in the financial services industry. Barrett has held various leadership roles in different companies. At Swift, they served as the Global Head of Services, Customer Experience. Barrett also took on the role of APAC & MEAISC Head of Services, Customer Experience, where they expanded their geographical responsibility to include the Middle East, Africa, and the India subcontinent. Barrett was involved in managing the Global Care & Success Management practice.
Prior to their roles at Swift, Barrett Chong worked at Cross-Border Financial Information Services (CCFIS) as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer. Barrett also worked at NCS Group as the Director of Business Application Services, where they led the pre-sales practice and drove go-to-market solutions in key markets.
Barrett Chong also gained experience at SunGard, where they held various roles such as Account Director, Director of Asia Pacific, and Client Services Manager. Barrett was responsible for product management, pre-sales, and technical account management in the region. Barrett played a key role in establishing global bid management functions and creating sales kits for new product suites.
Additionally, Barrett Chong worked at DBS Bank and Maybank earlier in their career, where they held positions in information services and business analysis, respectively.
Barrett Chong obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and Computer Science from the National University of Singapore, which they attended from 1992 to 1996. Prior to that, they attended Catholic Junior College from 1990 to 1991, and Maris Stella High School from 1986 to 1989.
